Even though Virtual Reality reached more people each year and thanks to titles like Castro Bot: Rescue Mission, Half Life: Alex and Resident Evil 4 slowly slips into the mainstream, so the extraordinary technology is still far away, in every gaming household to be. In addition to high acquisition costs is often also extensive wiring, size and weight of the devices.
At least as far as the latter aspects is concerned, a new model could soon remedy. Shift all, a subsidiary of Panasonic, just presented the Megan ex, a slim VR headset, which is hardly massive in terms of size and weight as a normal glasses.
A true winkling: the VR headset from Shift all
A closer look at the technical data keeps what the optics promises: the Megan ex VR headset is a real flyweight. With only 250 grams players are likely to use the state-of-the-art virtual reality glasses easily even several hours, without first needing a break for the head.
The frame of the headset is moreover yet foldable and should be able to easily be transported flaky with the built-in speakers. Despite small size and low weight, Shirttail but wants to deliver a powerful VR glasses. The Megan ex headset has a circa 33 mm micro-OLED display, supports a 5.2K resolution at 10-bit HDR and a refresh rate of 120Hz.
Shift tall used so-called pancake lenses, which are also used for cameras. As a processor, the Snapdragon X1 Platform is used by Qualcomm. First, the Megan ex glasses are only with STEAMER compatible, but other platforms could be added with future updates. Megan ex should appear in the spring of this year and are priced under $900.
