Ubisoft has revealed the PC configuration required for Far Cry 6

Ubisoft has revealed the system requirements for FAR Cry 6 so that you can now check if your platform is up to the task to operate the game correctly. Looking recommends that Ubisoft is pretty much exactly what you expect from a new AAA open world game.

Here's what Ubisoft recommends:

Minimum PC Settings

1080p, 30 FPS, directx ray throw deactivated

  • CPU: AMD Ryzen 3 1200-3.1 GHz or Intel I5-4460-3.2 GHz
  • GPU: AMD RX 460 4GB or NVIDIA GTX 960 4 GB
  • RAM: 8 GB (dual channel mode)
  • Storage space: 60 GB hard drive (recommended SSD)

1080p, 60 FPS, DirectX Ray Start Off

  • CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600x-3.8 GHz or Intel i7-7700-3.6 GHz
  • GPU: AMD RX VEGA64 8 GB or NVIDIA GTX 1080 8GB
  • RAM: 16 GB (dual channel mode)
  • Storage space: 60 GB hard drive (recommended SSD)

1440P, 60 FPS, directx ray throw deactivated

  • CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600x-3.8 GHz or Intel I7-9700-3.6 GHz
  • GPU: AMD RX 5700XT 8 GB or NVIDIA RTX 2070 Super 8 GB
  • RAM: 16 GB (dual channel mode)
  • Storage space: 60 GB hard disk (recommended SSD) + 37 GB for HD textures (optional)

1440p, 60 FPS, DirectX Ray throwing

  • CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600x-3.7 GHz or Intel i5-10600-4.1 GHz
  • GPU: AMD RX 6900XT 16 BG or NVIDIA RTX 3070 8 GB
  • RAM: 16 GB (dual channel mode)
  • Storage space: 60 GB hard disk (recommended SSD) + 37 GB for HD textures (optional)

4K, 30 FPS, DirectX Ray Start Enabled

  • CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5800x-3.7 GHz or Intel i7-10700K-3.8 GHz
  • GPU: AMD RX 6800 16 GB or NVIDIA RTX 3080 10 GB
  • RAM: 16 GB (dual channel mode)
  • Storage space: 60 GB hard disk (recommended SSD) + 37 GB for HD textures (optional)

Nothing seems to me really strange. Recommend their SSD is a little strange, but I understand. With games increasingly large and modern consoles with an SSD, the games will start to be built around them.

Endless Space 2 Review

Far Cry 6 still has a lot to prove to me. Nothing I saw could not distinguish from Far Cry 5. or 4. or 3. These games become too similar with essentially the same recreational intrigue for each game. I'm sure it will be a fun game, But I'm not sure it would be worth paying money if you already have Far Cry 5.
