Sega Activator
Without the mention of Sega, no accessory list is complete. So welcome the Sega Activator, a "full-body motion controller" that uses infrared rays to detect the player movement. This basically led to a strange ring stood in Eternal Champions, Comix Zone or even Mortal Combat on the Genesis. This is because the Activator had no special games despite the innovation he owned, not to mention the cost of 80 dollars.
Sixaxis
The dualshock 3 was pretty successful for Sony despite his problems, but the Sixaxis, his wireless predecessor, was the box. Since Sony was involved in a litigation with immersion incorporation, which led to the rumble for the dualshock 3 was eliminated, Sixaxax was touted as the future. It essentially meant to check out the controller in games like lair or awkward valves in Killzone 2. Sony replaced the Sixaxis by the Dualshock 3, which luckily contained rumbling.
Atari Jaguar Controller
We are sure that there is a reason why the Atari Jaguar controller looks like a keyboard fused with a controller. But games may not be. The smaller keys were not only exaggerated, but ultimately useless. Games like Alien vs. Predator, which used the keyboard, were provided with a superposition as opposed to each single key. Strangely, Atari would publish a ProController version that had more buttons and trigger.
Intel Wireless Series Gamepad
This is not a controller. This is an emergency floating device that may double as an alternative controller challenge in Sekiro. You could argue about keeping it like a steering wheel and playing normally. You can also use another controller or a mouse and a keyboard and achieve superior results without finating a non-shaped blue boomerang. This is also an option.
Nintendo Power Glove
When the Power Glove was shown in The Wizard, a film about tournaments and the bustle of people through video games (produced by family-friendly Nintendo, no less), he immediately aroused the public's attention. That's a nice way to say that there were many questions how this atrocity might play games. Strange numeric keys above, motion control - all this was so intuitive to use and inaccurate that the trademark "It's so bad!" Line would live on more than a way.
Xbox 360 kinect
The stimulus of the controller-free motion control of the Kinect was understandable, but despite the hype, the Cirque du Soleil performances and the unpleasant smoke and mirror demos, reality looked very different at the start. It sometimes felt careless and needed a lot of space to work properly at all. Despite the sparse list of games, Kinect was a great success. Well, Kinect for the Xbox One? That's a very different story.
Nintendo Wii U Gamepad
After the massive success of the Wii, Nintendo made the next obvious step for Motion Control games: saddle it with a thick gamepad with its own, overwhelming screen. The Wii u Gamepad was not only quite situative, but also did not improve the attractiveness of the Wii. This does not apply to all problems with the battery life or the user interface. However, it was not all for free - the concepts of the Wii U were taken over and improved with the Nintendo Switch, which was very successful for the company.
Philips CD-I GameController
At a certain point in time, Philips produced his own optical disc format called CD-I, whose two main claims were the terrible controllers and the more terrible, but always funny Zelda titles. So difficult it was to believe some of us did not want a controller who looked more like a trackpad that is connected to a scanner like the CD-i player 400 offered. Nevertheless, the CD-I remained even more than eight years.
Sega Dreamcast Controller
So amazing the Dreamcast Games were, the controller had some problems. First of all, it felt unnecessarily bulky. This was mainly due to the VMU, a memory card, which also acted as its own device and contained mini-games such as Sonic Adventures Chao Adventure, a clock and even functions for the second screen. Even without the VMU, the design of the controller felt awkwardly.
Gametrak
Gametrak seemed to be ready to offer position tracking in 3D with its controllers. At least that was the idea. If you hear all the retractable cables, ball joints and numerous gametrak titles that should be released earlier, the idea becomes much taped. Gametrak seemed to be a gambling based on lame commercials.
Atari 5200 Controller
A look at the Controller of the Atari 5200 offers enough evidence why the Jaguar has become so terrible. Even with a pause button, a revelation earlier, the controller had shabby materials for centering its joystick. This meant that it would never be reliable self-centered, which led to problems with almost every game. Atari would work on a better self-centering version, but never published. Again, the terrible keys of the keyboard are not even mentioned.
Intellivision Controller
Oh, look - another console that held a good idea to have a digit block for your controller. The Intellivision Controller was particularly unique because he had a "control disc", which was a fancy name for his control cross, which served as a paddle. It looked terrible and felt terrible. Nearest.
Nintendo 64 Controller
Personally, I love the Nintendo 64 and the sheer number of amazing titles he offered. Apart from that, the controller design was something else. Due to the three-point shape, only the joystick or the analog pad could be used. This has worked for many titles, but despite the general responsiveness of the controls in need of some getting used to. It was also not to be overlooked that the analog pad was finally used after months, possibly years in which it was not used.
Neo Geo Mini
So you do not believe that no terrible controllers are made yet, we have the Neo Geo Mini. Although it is actually a mini-arcade cabinet, it lies the core problem - it should pack the entire functionality of an arcade cabinet in a tiny device. The lack of clicking buttons was the slightest of your problems here. But hey, if you bought the Neo Geo Arcade Stick Pro, who is actually pretty fantastic, you can plug it into the Neo Geo Mini and play in a real way on the thumbnail screen.
